Do you have questions about Palo Alto Chinese School (PACS)?  Are you considering registering your child for the 2022-23 school year?

We are holding an open house session on Friday 8/19 and 8/26 7-8pm in person at JLS.  Please register for the open house if you would like to ask a PACS administrator about the school.

When does school start and end for the new school year?
School starts August 19 and ends May 19, 2023.
​Will classes be in-person or online?
Classes will be in person on the JLS Middle School campus in Palo Alto.
What is the class size for each grade?
Class sizes vary depending on the grade level.  Pre-K class size is 12.  In general, CSL class sizes are up to 16 and mandarin class sizes are up to 25.  For further questions contact us at [email protected].
Are there classes that fill up quickly?
Yes, certain grade levels fill up quickly.  As they fill up we will post the information about specific classes, and you will be placed on a waitlist when classes fill up.
Will there be a pre-K class?
Due to low enrollment, there will not be a pre-K class.
​Can high school students transfer their PACS Chinese credits to high school?
Students from the Palo Alto Unified School District and the Mountain View Los Altos Union High School District can transfer their PACS Chinese credits to high school.  For further questions contact us at [email protected].
