Ø          有鑑於上星期一位Palo Alto Gunn High女學生遭到傷害的不幸事件，謹呼籲所有學生和家長隨時保持高度警覺，務必注意安全。

Ø          一年一度的校內學術比賽將於明年2月10日舉行。報名表將在11月30日在各班分發。報名截止時間是1月18日。

Ø          中文學校聯合會舉辦的Nissan徵文及演講比賽現在開始接受報名。徵文題目是「我心目中的夢幻車」，截止日是11月16日，以郵戳為憑。演講比賽訂於12月2日星期日12:30PM - 4:00PM在San Joe舉行，報名的截止日是11月16日。欲知詳情請上本校網站或聯合會網站 http://www.anccs.org/ 查詢 。

Ø          金門羽球俱樂部 (Golden Gate Badminton Club) 提供給本校家庭10張優惠年度會員卡，原價 $715 的會費新加入的會員僅收 $360。 金門的網址是: http://www.ggbadminton.com/ ，有興趣者請至400號教室查詢。

Ø          在明年一月中旬上學期結束之際，我們將有兩星期的時間開放招收插班轉學生。轉學考試的日期是1月11日或 1月18日。詳情請洽註冊組。

Ø          年終將至，請留意本校停課日期為: 11月 23日， 12月14日，12月21日，12月日29，以及 1月4日。謹祝大家有個快樂圓滿的年度佳節。我們將於1月11日復課。

*      Please join us in welcoming two additional members to our school board: Sandy Wu and Andrew Young .

*      With last week’s unfortunate event of  the attack on a Gunn High School student, we ask all parents and students to be extra alert on and off campus, and watch out for your safety.   

*      The annual academic contest is just around the corner. It will be held on Sunday, 2/10/08. Registration form will be distributed in class on 11/30. Registration period is between 12/7/07 and 1/18/08.

*      The Associations of Northern California Chinese Schools (ANCCS) is co-sponsoring a speech and writing contest with Nissan Motors. The writing contest’s topic is “My Dream Car”. It must be submitted and postmarked no later than 11/16/07.  The speech contest will be held on Sunday, 12/2/07, from 12:30 – 4:00 PM in San Jose. Registration is due on 11/16/07. *      Golden Gate Badminton Club has offered 10 annual memberships at deep discounts to PACS families. The regular membership that usually costs $715 is offered at $360 for the first 10 PACS families who join the club as a new member. The website of GGBC is: http://www.ggbadminton.com/

*      When the first semester ends in mid-January 2008, we will have a two-week enrollment period open to transfer students. The transfer assessment test will be held on 1/11/08 and 1/18/08. For details please check with the Registration group.

*      The Holiday season is almost upon us. Please note there is no school on 11/23/07, 12/14/07, 12/21/07, 12/28/07, and 1/4/08. We wish everyone happy and safe holidays. School will resume on 1/11/08.
