本校今年度第二次校務會議已於九月十四日召開，邀請各班的家長代表參加。非常感謝家長代表的熱心服務，我們今年將倚重家長代表為家長、老師、學校和校委溝通的橋樑。

高中學分說明會已於九月二十八日舉行。學分班申請截止日期是十月二十六日，學分考試訂於明年四月二十七日。有意者請至辦公室 (Room 400) 報名。家長們若有任何問題請洽學分組長曾令坤。

開學才過兩星期，我們已有三間教室遭到JLS抱怨。請同學們和各位家長務必注意以下幾點規則：
1]不要碰觸教室內任何電腦、設備、或儀器。不要移動老師桌面上的物品。
2]放學後請將桌椅還原歸位。
3]請保持教室清潔，不可在教室裏吃東西，也不可在桌椅上塗抹破壞。
4]值班家長請特別注意：如果教室裏有任何東西損壞請立即通知校辦公室，我們必須主動與JLS接洽。

請家長送小朋友來學校時務必遵守規矩以免發生意外。請勿在driveway路中間停車下人，也不可在6:45-7:15PM的尖峰時段倒車入位阻擋交通流動。

本校今年的年度野餐訂於十月二十一日星期日11:30-3:00舉行，地點在Los Altos的Shoup Park。吃的玩的應有盡有，並有彩券抽獎。預購餐卷每張 $6，請到辦公室買票。野餐當天票價$8。詳情請上本校網站查詢。

年終將至，您想照一張全家福送給親朋好友嗎？我們的校友家長司徒先生是一位非常傑出的業餘攝影家，今年仍然熱心幫忙，在野餐當天為您全家戶外取景拍照。每張8x10的照片$10，或者 $100買一片 CD上面有您所有的照片。司徒先生是純粹義務，所得將悉數捐獻給學校。有意者請與家長會聯絡。

The 2nd Board Meeting, with all
room parents invited, was held on 9/14. Big thanks to all room parents for
their dedication and hard work. We will rely on room parents as the bridge of
communications among parents, teachers, the School and the Board.
High School Credit
workshop was held on 9/28. Application is due on 10/26. Credit exam will take
place on 4/26/08. Apply in Room 400. Please direct inquiries to Ling-Kung Tseng.
After 2 weeks of class, we have already received 3 complaints from JLS
about our usage of their classrooms. We need all students and parents to pay
attention to the following guidelines:
1] Do not touch any computer and equipment in the
classrooms. Do not rearrange anything on teacher’s desk.
2] At end of
class, please restore all desks and chairs to their original position.
3] Keep classroom clean. No eating is allowed in
class, and do not scribble on desks and chairs.
4] If anything is broken or damaged, we ask room
parent on-duty to notify the office immediately. As a courtesy we need to take
the initiative to contact JLS and report the damage.
Parents, please remember when driving to school, do not stop your car in
the middle of a driveway to unload passengers. During the peak hour of
6:45-7:15 PM, do not back into a parking space because this blocks the flow of
incoming and outgoing traffic. We appreciate your cooperation.
The Annual Picnic will be held on Sunday, 10/21, at Shoup Park of Los
Altos. Come and enjoy the food and fun, and try your luck at raffle drawings.
Advance meal tickets are on sale now for $6 in Room 400. Tickets will go up to
$8 on picnic day. Please visit school website for details and map.
Thinking of sharing family portrait with relatives and friends for the
Holidays? You can accomplish that while enjoying the picnic, and help PACS
raise funds at the same time! Our alumni parent, Mr. Szutu, is once again
donating his time and skills to take family portraits during our picnic. Each
8x10 photo is $10, or get a CD for $100 with all your photos. Please contact
PTA to schedule your session.
This year’s school directory will be distributed on 11/2. We are
accepting advertisements from parents and local business. The submission cutoff
date is 10/19. Please contact Sandy Wu at yswu717@yahoo.com. Ad form can be
downloaded from school website.
PACS has joined eScrip program. When you, your family and friends register
your Safeway card, Macy’s card and credit cards, and designate PACS as your
beneficiary group, the school benefits whenever you shop at Safeway, Macy and
other stores. Please visit www.escrip.com and designate PACS. Our school ID is 500005893.
We are going paperless. Future newsletters will be distributed by room
parents via emails and posted on school website. If your class would like to
still get hardcopy newsletters, please ask for them from your room parent.
