*      時間過得很快，相信大家都渡過了一個平安又多采多姿的暑假。 歡迎舊生返校，也歡迎剛加入我們的新同學。

*      9/７ (星期五) 召開老師和家長會議。會議中老師將說明今年的教學內容和方式，家長們若有任何問題請與老師詢問及溝通。

*      書法班正招生中，歡迎有有興趣的老師，家長和學生踴躍報名參加。今年校方仍邀請到黃憲之先生擔任講師，相信上過黃老師課的學生都覺得受益良多。今年與上學年一樣將開設兩班，請根據個人需要選擇上課時段，並儘速至辦公室 (Room 400) 報名。

1] 6:00 ~ 6:50：   柏拉阿圖中文學校的老師家長和學生具有優先報名的資格，需有至少十位學生才開班授課。報名費一學年$160。

2] 7:00 ~ 8:50：柏拉阿圖中文學校的家長具有優先報名的資格，需有至少十位學生才開班授課。報名費視報名人數而定。如果至少有十位則學費為一年$320.

*      本校籃球隊即日起接受報名，學期中集訓時間為每星期五9:15PM -10:15PM (中文學校下課後) ，有興趣的家長請至辦公室洽詢。

*      交通安全人人有責，請家長為孩子們樹立好榜樣。送小朋友來學校時務必遵守規矩以免發生意外。請勿在driveway路中間停車下人，也不可在6:45-7:15PM的尖峰時段倒車入位阻擋交通流動。 謝謝合作。

*      本校今年的年度野餐訂於十月二十一日星期日舉行，地點在Los Altos的Shoup Park。 詳情後敘。

*      Palo Alto Chinese School wishes to extend warm welcome to our returning students and all new students.

*      Teacher/Parents meeting is held on September 7th.  During the meeting, your teacher will explain her/his teaching plan for the coming year and answer parents’ questions and/or concerns.

*      Chinese Calligraphy class is offered in 2 time slots.

1] 6:00 ~ 6:50：   Priority is given to PACS students, staff and parents. Minimum enrollment: 10. Fees: $160 for entire school year.

2] 7:00 ~ 8:50：Priority is given to PACS parents. Minimum enrollment: 10. Fees are calculated based on size of enrollment. Annual tuition is $320 if at least 10 students enroll.

*      Registration for basketball teams begins. Team practice time is 9:15 – 10:15 PM, right after school, at JLS gym. Please stop by Room 400 for details.

*      Traffic safety is everyone’s business. Parents please remember you are your child’s first and foremost role model. When driving to school, do not stop your car in the middle of a driveway to unload passengers. During the peak hour of 6:45-7:15 PM, do not back into a parking space because this blocks the flow of incoming and outgoing traffic. We appreciate your cooperation.

*      The Annual Picnic will be held on Sunday, 10/21, at Shoup Park of Los Altos. Details will be available soon.

*      PACS has joined eScrip program as a beneficiary organization. When you, your family and friends designate PACS as your beneficiary group, the school benefits whenever you use your Safeway or Macy’s card. Please visit www.escrip.com and designate PACS. Our school ID is 500005893.

*      We are going paperless. Future newsletters will be distributed by room parents via emails and posted on school website.

*      This year we are offering a Parents Lounge for parents to relax and hang out. It is in Room 410, right next door to school office. Most future parent seminars will be held here.
